R House District 98
Memo
I plan to reintroduce legislation to amend Title 30 (Fish and Boat Code) to exempt an individual with a severe physical disability from obtaining a fishing license.
Currently, persons who are totally blind are exempt from purchasing a fishing license and this legislation extends that courtesy to persons with a severe physical disability. I have drafted the language to ensure that only persons who are paraplegic or similarly disabled in the lower extremities will qualify for this exemption.
