Co-Sponsorship Memo Details

On behalf of the Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs (DMVA)  and the Department of General Services (DGS), I plan to introduce an omnibus land conveyance to directly convey six Commonwealth properties.
 
The conveyance of the following properties is included in this legislation:
 

1. Conveys 3.69-acres of land and 3 buildings known as the Gettysburg Armory, located in Gettysburg Borough, Adams County, to the Gettysburg Foundation.  This property has a special way it is to be handled per a Cooperative Agreement between DMVA, DGS and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC).

 

2. Conveys approximately 1.66-acres and two maintenance bays known as the Scranton Maintenance Building, located in the City of Scranton, Lackawanna County, to Scranton School District for $128,000.

 

3. Conveys approximately 1.58-acres and one building known as the Bethlehem Armory, located in the City of Bethlehem, Lehigh County, to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Bethlehem for $320,000.

 

4. Conveys 2.48-acres and improvements known as the Philadelphia Ogontz Avenue Armory, located in the City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, to La Salle University for $485,000.

 

5. Conveys approximately 1.53-acres of land and improvements known as the Berean Institute, located in the City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, to ABO Haven Inc for $2,200,000.

 

6. Conveys approximately 2.4105-acres and improvements known as the PA Department of Transportation Clinton County Maintenance Facility, located in the City of Lock Haven, Clinton County for $327,500.
