Memo
In the near future, I intend to  reintroduce legislation that will require public access to meetings where public school collective bargaining agreements are negotiated.
Transparency is essential to building trust. Public school collective bargaining agreements too frequently result in increases in taxes for hardworking Pennsylvanians. These meetings need to be open to the public according to the guidelines of the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act to establish trust and empower taxpayers to monitor the discussions between school districts and public unions.
By requiring public access to any meeting where a public school collective bargaining agreement is negotiated, taxpayers can hold public schools and unions accountable for the way that their money is spent.
Please join me in cosponsoring this important legislation.
