In the near future I will be introducing legislation that will amend the Election Code to add a section dealing with change of date. This legislation would allow the date of an election to be changed should it fall on a religious holiday. In the event that the date of election, such as the 2016 Presidential Primary, is a religious holiday it will be changed to the following Tuesday.
