Representative Thomas Murt
R House District 152
Memo
I plan to reintroduce legislation lowering the age that single persons are eligible to apply for, and receive, a Property Tax Rent Rebate (PTRR).
Under current law, widows and widowers age 50 and above are eligible to apply for, and receive, a PTRR if they meet the income eligibility requirements of the program. Current law excludes single individuals who never marry. My bill will lower the age to 50 and over for single persons to be eligible for the program.
