Small family farms represent over two centuries of agricultural heritage in Pennsylvania and offer a multitude of benefits, including the promotion of healthy eating, to the communities they serve.
In support of the small family farmers of Pennsylvania, I am proposing legislation which would allow farmer’s markets and roadside farm stands the opportunity to post signs alongside state roadways that advertise the sale of fresh produce. This legislation would assist both farmers and consumers who wish to buy local, seasonal foods and support small businesses.
Making it easier for small, Pennsylvanian-owned businesses to prosper should be a priority of ours as legislators. Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation that will help build a stronger and fairer economy for working families in the Commonwealth.
