Memo
In the near future I will be reintroducing legislation to amend the Liquor Code (Former HB 1746).
My legislation would allow minors to perform music in a licensed establishment so long as the minor is not compensated and is supervised by a parent or guardian. The Liquor Code already allows minors who are students receiving instruction in a performing art to perform in a licensed establishment so long as they are not compensated and they are under the proper supervision. I would like to expand this ability to perform in licensed establishments because I have a very accomplished musician in my district who is a minor. This young man, with the consent and supervision of his parents, would like to gain more experience in performing his music by doing so in licensed establishments. My legislation will allow him to continue to grow his talents.
Thank you in advance for consideration of my legislation.
