Memo
Pennsylvania has thousands of laws on the books.  Many of these laws were enacted several decades ago and are simply archaic and no longer applicable in the 21st century.  In addition, the existence of these outdated laws contributes to the already complex and confusing nature of government.

In an effort to clean up the books, I plan to introduce a bill that will repeal one of these antiquated acts.  This legislation will repeal the Sunday Polo Act of 1935, which makes it unlawful for anyone to play polo before one o’clock on Sunday.

This act is clearly outdated and no longer serves a purpose.  By repealing this act, we will be providing the citizens of this Commonwealth with a more transparent and streamlined rule of law.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation.  Thank you.
