Memo
We will soon introduce legislation that will empower our college athletes and make sure that they are fairy compensated for their work and efforts- especially in system where so many others profit off their talents while they have to be careful to avoid a work-related injury which could end their athletic career and negatively impact their future.

This bill will capitalize on recent efforts in California to help balance the scales and allow our college athletes to sign endorsement details, earn compensation for their name, image and likeness, and sign licensing contracts that will allow them to earn money. They will also be allowed to hire an agent to represent them.

As mentioned recently by the California governor, “College athletes put everything on the line- their physical health, future career prospects, and years of their lives to compete. Colleges reap billions from these student athletes sacrifices and success but, in the same breath, blocks them from earning a single dollar. That's a bankrupt model- one that puts institutions ahead of the students they are supposed to serve.” We can do better in Pennsylvania.

Please join us in standing with our collegiate athletes and allow them a better chance to profit from their own hard work and effort.
