Memo
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation for tax accountability and ensure recipients of taxpayer money are not tax delinquent.  This legislation is modeled after existing programs used for contractors and state licensees which requires them to be tax compliant.  Under this legislation anyone seeking to obtain a professional license, contractor, state grant or tax credit would have to be tax compliant.

Additionally, the legislation would require anyone individual who is seeking employment with an agency of the executive, legislative or judicial branch to be tax compliant. Anyone    The legislation allows anyone to enter employment with a state agency if they enter into a payment agreement.  The requirement for state employees to be tax compliant also applies to current employees.  This being said requirements for current employees must comply with civil service protections.

As taxpayer money does not belong to the government any recipient of taxpayer money should not receive the funds if they are delinquent on their taxes.  Please join me and co-sponsor this legislation to establish tax accountability within the Commonwealth.  If you have any questions please contact Jordan Grant by email at Jgrant@pahousegop.com.
