Rep. Joseph Hohenstein & Rep. Austin Davis Co-sponsorship Request-COVID-19: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
July 1, 2020 11:32 AM to All House Members
Circulated By

Representative Joseph Hohenstein
D House District 177
Memo
During the final week of June 2020, the United States has seen a resurgence in COVID-19 cases, with several states setting record high numbers of new cases per day. As the virus continues to spread, the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) remains woefully inadequate with hospital employees being asked to reuse surgical gowns and N-95 masks which are intended for single use only.
In order to prepare for a resurgence of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania and to protect our hard-working frontline medical workers who put their lives on the line every day, we will be introducing legislation to provide additional funding for PPE.
Please join us in ensuring that our medical providers have all the protective equipment they need to protect themselves as they save our loved ones’ lives.
