In the near future, I intend to reintroduce legislation that would honor the recipients of the prestigious Air Medal by providing them with their own special registration plate. Many other states offer these special registration plates, and I think it is important Pennsylvania does as well to honor these brave veterans.
The Air Medal is awarded to members of the military who have displayed an act of heroism or meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight. Any recipient of the Air Medal may apply for their special registration plate through PennDOT, accompanied by a fee of $22.
