Memo
I plan to re-introduce legislation amending the Municipalities Planning Code that would require signs to be posted on land undergoing subdivision and land development.
There are presently no requirements within the Municipalities Planning Code when it comes to posted notice of subdivision and land development. Therefore, property developers can provide “notice” with nothing more than an 8 ½” by 11” sheet of paper. Something like this is not legible from the road, often leaving passersby with more questions than answers.
My bill would provide specific size requirements for posted signage on property being developed, thereby providing residents with a better understanding of development occurring within the community.
I hope you will join me in co-sponsoring this common sense measure.
