Please join me in co-sponsoring legislation to clarify the application of budget implementation language for the Chartered Schools for the Deaf and Blind. These four state-supported schools provide services to students who have a profound sensory loss, and/or whose losses are compounded by additional disabilities.
This legislation would clarify the application of the funding formula for the Chartered Schools for the Deaf and Blind for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. It will ensure the funding that was already appropriated for this purpose in the General Appropriation Act of 2022 is adequately driven out.
