This June, government entities, organizations and corporations, and individuals across the country will be bringing attention to safety issues and hazards experienced in the workplace and in day-to-day life. Since 1996, National Safety Month has served as an opportunity to amplify safety messaging in an effort to create healthier, safer environments for all Americans.
 
Identifying and mitigating safety hazards in the places where our families, friends, and neighbors work, travel, and live should always be a priority for those of us who hold elected office in Pennsylvania. While this is a task that is important year-round, I will soon introduce a resolution that will recognize the month of June 2024 as National Safety Month in Pennsylvania.
 
It takes a cooperative effort from everyone – government officials, employers, and the general public – to prevent unnecessary injuries and death. Please join me recognizing National Safety Month by cosponsoring this legislation.
