House Committee Vote Summary

This amendment is based upon discussions held by Rep. Cutler and Rep. Benninghoff with the OPOs. The intent is to increase organ donations while, at the same time, ensuring that citizens have enough information to make an informed decision and that the person’s specific wishes for organ donation are respected. While this is a gut and replace amendment, the chairman’s amendment maintains much of the language of SB 180 with respect to donation of organs, tissues, and eyes.
