AN ACT
Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in particular rights and
immunities, further providing for emergency response provider
and bystander good Samaritan civil immunity.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 8332(d) of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended and the section is amended by
adding subsections to read:
§ 8332. Emergency response provider and bystander good
Samaritan civil immunity.

(a.1) Police animals.--An emergency response provider, who
has completed training as required under subsection (b.1), and
who in good faith renders emergency care, treatment, first aid
or rescue to a police animal at the scene of an emergency event
or crime shall not be liable for any civil damages as a result
of rendering such care, except in any act or omission
