Memo
As revelations and allegations about the conduct of public officials in Pennsylvania continue to weaken public confidence in the General Assembly, it is imperative that we make significant, immediate changes.
Legislation
Document 1 - Introduced as SB 1327
Please join us in co-sponsoring legislation to implement an absolute ban on legislators accepting cash gifts from lobbyists, principals, consultants and others who seek to influence the legislative process. “Cash gifts” will be defined to include U.S. and foreign currency, money orders, checks, gift cards and certificates, and prepaid debit and credit cards.
Cash gifts to legislators will be banned with the only exception being a gift from a parent, spouse, child or other close relative when the circumstances make it clear that the motivation for the gift is a personal or family relationship.

Document 2 - Introduced as SR 339
Because the legislative process can be slow, please also join us in co-sponsoring a new Senate Rule to impose the same ban on cash gifts to legislators and Senate staff.
Thank you for considering this proposed legislation.
