Memo
In the near future, I intend to reintroduce my legislation exempting the surviving spouse of a veteran who was killed or declared missing in action from paying local school property taxes.  I invite you to join me as a co-sponsor.

The State Veteran’s Commission would be the entity to determine that the veteran’s surviving spouse is in need of the exemption.

This is a reintroduction of SB 485 from the previous legislative session. Co-sponsors included: COSTA, TARTAGLIONE, FONTANA, BROWNE, BREWSTER, VULAKOVICH and RAFFERTY.
