Mobile Food Facilities - Multi-Jurisdcition Fees

Senator Elder Vogel
R Senate District 47
Memo
In the near future, I intend to introduce a bill amending Title Code 3 (Agriculture – Chapter 57) that will allow mobile retail food facilities to operate in multiple food safety jurisdictions without having to pay multiple fees in each county it operates.
As the law currently stands, mobile facilities are required to purchase a license and be inspected in each food safety jurisdiction which they operate. This is an expensive venture that has proven unnecessary. This bill will still allow food safety inspections at every facility in every jurisdiction.
If you have any questions regarding this bill, please contact Mike Rader at 787-3076.
