In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation which would prohibit counties that ban natural gas development under county-owned land from receiving their county share of Impact Fee drilling funds or being eligible applicants for Marcellus Legacy Fund grants administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
Municipalities within a county that bans natural gas development under county-owned land will still receive their municipal distributions of the Impact Fee.
It is only fitting that those counties which choose to support the safe and responsible development of our domestic energy resources benefit from those Impact Fee and Legacy funds. I hope you will join me in supporting this measure.
