Preventing Housing Discrimination for Firearm Owners

Senator Tracy Pennycuick
R Senate District 24
Memo
In the near future, I plan on introducing legislation that would protect law abiding citizens from being denied housing for exercising their 2nd Amendment rights under the U.S. Constitution.
This legislation would amend the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act to add a new section that specifically deems it an illegal discriminatory practice to deny housing to anyone based on their choice to legally own and operate a firearm.
No individual should be punished or become homeless simply because they choose to legally protect their family and belongings.
I appreciate your consideration and urge you to join me in co-sponsoring this important legislation.
If you have any questions, please contact Matt Szuchyt in my office at 215-541-2388.
