Memo
In the near future, we plan to introduce a resolution declaring the month of May 2023 as Jewish American Heritage Month in Pennsylvania. The month of May is annually designated national Jewish American Heritage Month by the President, and we believe the Commonwealth should join this effort to celebrate the history of Jewish traditions, culture, and contributions of Jewish Americans.
As antisemitic activity and continues seemingly unabated, this designation is an opportunity for Pennsylvanians of every faith to learn about and celebrate the inspiring history of Jewish people and Jewish culture. Please join us in this effort to promote awareness of and appreciation for the experience of Jewish Americans in Pennsylvania.
