Memo
Currently, the annual distribution of Career & Technical Education funding is finalized in late April of each school year. Not knowing the funding allocation until close to the end of the school year makes it difficult for both CTCs and school districts to plan.

For this reason, the Special Education and Basic Education funding formulas were changed to now be set on June 1 of every year. This bill would make the same change to CTE funding and lock in the data as of June 1.

Please join us in sponsoring this important legislation to promote predictability and sound fiscal planning for our Career & Technical Education Centers.
