Memo
In the near future, we plan to introduce a resolution recognizing the week of May 11–17, 2025, as “Skilled Nursing Care Week” in Pennsylvania.
Established by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) in 1967, National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW) acknowledges the essential role of skilled nursing care centers in providing “high-quality, long term and post-acute care to millions of individuals each year.” The week starts each year on Mother’s Day and is celebrated through the following Saturday.
The theme for NSNCW 2025 is "Tapestry of Life,” which will provide an opportunity to observe the strength of community reinforced by the individual stories of every resident, caregiver, and staff member of a skilled nursing care center.
Please join us in sponsoring this resolution honoring the work being done by dedicated and selfless healthcare professionals at skilled nursing care facilities across the Commonwealth.
