Career
  • Sen. Nick Pisciottano (D-Allegheny) was elected to represent the 45th Senatorial District in November 2024 after serving two terms in the House of Representatives.
  • He graduated at the top of his class from West Mifflin Area High School in 2008 and earned a bachelor of arts degrees in accounting and in history at Washington and Jefferson College in 2012. He went on to earn his master’s degree in data analytics & policy at Johns Hopkins University in 2019.
  • As a certified public accountant and auditor with an extensive background in finance and economics, Sen. Pisciottano uses his experience in the private sector to advance public policy in Harrisburg that assists the communities he represents and improve the quality of life throughout the 45th District, covering 37 communities, including Allegheny County’s Monongahela Valley and Pittsburgh’s eastern and southern suburbs. During his time in the House, he crafted bipartisan legislation to protect workers, consumers, and families from unfair treatment and worked to ensure that every Pennsylvanian can still achieve the American Dream.
  • A fourth-generation resident of the Monongahela Valley, Sen. Pisciottano was previously the president of the West Mifflin Community Foundation and is a past mentor with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. He lives in his hometown with his wife Molly, his son Nico, and his two rescue dogs, Rosie and Piper.
